Logging off her ibook, Katie grabbed her car keys and ran down the front hall steps of the Mulder residence. Scribbling a note (With Jacob. Have my cell. Don't wait up. - K), she stuck it to the front of the fridge before heading out to the Silver'95 Ford Taurus that she refused to give up. What? It had the most powerful AC of any car she had ever been in and it ran better than most newer cars.

A short fifteen minutes later, she was pulling into a space on the street near the Lone Gunmen's office. A place she hadn't been to nearly as often as she should have since the Gunmen's death.

Knocking, she waited for Jacob to answer.
